Master David Kikoen is the co-owner of Frankfort Black Belt Academy and has been involved in the Martial Arts for over 39 years. He has studied multiple disciplines and has spent his last 25 years dedicated to the art of Songahm Taekwondo. He is a 2 time World Champion in forms and weapons competition.
Master Kikoen received his Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from Northern Illinois University. He loves educating children, teens and adults in all aspects of the martial arts. Discipline, Courtesy and Respect along with Goal Setting keeps him at the fore front of the industry.
Master Kikoen is married to Rita Kikoen and their blended family has 5 kids and 6 grandkids. Master Kikoen also enjoys riding motorcycles, drag racing and golf.
Ms. Peggy Hoogheem is Chief Instructor, Co-Owner of Frankfort Black Belt Academy. She has been a member of the American Taekwondo Association since 1991. Currently she holds the rank of 5th degree Black Belt. Ms. Hoogheem is Nationally certified as a Bully Prevention Specialist, a Women’s Self Defense Instructor, and Weapon Trainer. Ms. Hoogheem earned the title of National Weapon Champion in 2005. She loves working with children, teens and adults. Peggy has been married to husband Jim for 35 years, and has two sons, who also trained and earned 2nd degree Black Belts.
